over the last fifteen years in two bands:
SlapShoeFly and Sundown Poachers.
In their "heavy rollin" days,
the bands opened for or shared a bill
with world touring acts such as,
Old Crow Medicine Show, Avett Brothers,
Merle Haggard, The Devil Makes Three,
John Craigie, Slaid Cleaves and
Brothers Comatose.
The road proves hard on the mind and body,
and Johnny Callahan has let up a touch
on the accelerator when it comes to touring.
Johnny can be seen opening shows in
Northern California for talents such as
Bart Budwig, Wind Fields, The Brothers Reed
and more..
